Liebster Award #2

Many thanks to Rory at A Guy Called Bloke for the Liebster nomination. Please pop over and visit his site – it’s full of funnies and interesting anecdotes. He is one of the hardest-working bloggers I know, with something new posted every day.

Here is a link to the official rules of the Liebster Award.

Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. The award initially focused on bloggers with less than 2000 followers, but as its popularity increased this number has gone down to 200.

8 Questions

If vampires can’t see their reflections, why is their hair always so neat?

Great question.

If a kid refuses to sleep during nap time, are they guilty of resisting a rest?

My two hated to nap, so I had to take them for a drive to get them to sleep, before they drove me crazy.

If they weren’t called grapes and you had the opportunity to rename them, what would you call them?

Wine babies.

If the grass wasn’t green what colour would you make it?

How about brown? Then people in the suburbs wouldn’t see the need to water their lawns, and we could save precious water.

Has your imaginary friend ever had an imaginary friend, or just you?

My imaginary friends are my cast of book characters and they all get on well. Except when they don’t.

So, dance in the rain, wallow in the mud or naked angel in the snow?

Dance in the rain. Especially on those rare warm nights when the drops slide cool over your skin, but the air is almost crackling with pressure.

Can you describe your blog to me without using the letters i and e?

Words about words, books and authors. And old stuff.

What are you afraid of becoming?

I am afraid of becoming dead.

It is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.

– JK Rowling (Dumbledore to Harry)
