Each month, around the 20th, I publish a Top Three.
I am so happy about all the great writerly types I’ve met through blogging. Who else will understand the torture of plotting at 1am, the flirty brush of 1st person POV and the morning-after hangover of misguided ideas.
There are finite words in the universe but endless ways to arrange them, so writers should be supporting each other instead of competing.
These are articles from the last month that have stood out to me as being the biggest cupcake among a buffet of delicious treats. They are posts that keep you thinking long after you turn off the phone and walk away to slump onto the couch. Please have a read of these inspirational articles:
A Short History of Maligned Women is exactly that – a summary of some fab women that were given a bad rap in the history books.
When People Have to Mention Someone is Asian is an eye-opening read from Katie Kuo about our unconscious bias and how it affects others.
Awakening Sex and the City is a post about the first series of the show, episodes 1-3 from a feminism / gender theorist point of view. But it doesn’t ruin it, it adds to the experience to see it in a new light.
To the Lady Googling “full time Mum need a break” is a fabulous post from Lucy At Home to show us mums that we are not alone in needing a secret chocolate biscuit now and then.
So, it turns out I can’t count. Well, please don’t hold that against me and have a read of the most thought-provoking of the blog posts from the last month from my blogging community.
